Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is the third-busiest airport in China, after Beijing Capital International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport. It is located about 30 km north of downtown Guangzhou in Baiyun District, the southern portion of the Pearl River Delta Economic Zone. The airport opened in 1958 and was the site of the first flight of the famous aircraft manufacturer, Airbus. The airport also is well served by public transport system, airport transfer limousines & private-hire vehicles, and several car rental agencies.
