Soekarno Hatta International Airport

Soekarno Hatta International Airport airport is named after the first president of Indonesia, Soekarno, and the second president, Mohammad Hatta. The airport is located in the town of Tangerang, about 30 km west of Jakarta. The airport is the busiest in the country in terms of passenger traffic, followed by Juanda International Airport. It was also Southeast Asia’s busiest airport in 2018 after overtaking Kuala Lumpur’s KLIA.

In 2017, Soekarno–Hatta International Airport was ranked first on the Skytrax World’s Most Improved Airport 2017. It is the primary Indonesian airport serving the Jakarta metropolitan area on the island of Java. The airport also is served by public transport, airport transfer limousines & private-hire vehicles, and several car rental agencies.
